Tuscan or cerb

Am on a few forums now, just in the backround learning about tvr's before buying probably a 4.2 cerb. However, tuscan can be picked up now for about 18k! WOW, do you think its a better buy than a cerb??? Are they more reliable?

Ooooo.. that's a toughie. The Cerbis have a pretty high maintainence level, but the Tuscans have the speed six reliability issuse. Although I have not experienced any of these so am not really qualified to comment. But TBH I'd go for the Tuscan just for the looks but the Cerbie sounds soo sweet!

Get a Cerbera cause you can't beat a V8....

Plus, you need to spend more than 18k to get a really good Tuscan.

Drive them both and see which one makes you 'tingle' as i have a Chimaera and love it's V8 grunt but didn't enjoy driving the T350 as the engine felt like my old Beemer's straight 6....!

18K wont get you a decent Tuscan. IMHO. Whatever you go for they both cost alot of money in upkeep. You cannot run these things on a shoestring. Prepare for maintenance bills and then more bills However the fun of driving them is fantastic.

I originally wanted a Cerb but after driving a few I went for the Tuscan. I'm a little chunky and I just couldnt live with the tight space in the Cerb. Fantastic car mind and would love a 4.5 even now.

I currently have a Tuscan but I have recently had the dreaded re-buiild. (It only had 12K full TVRSH on it when I bought it) I've had it nearly 3 years now and I love it but I have spent well over 13K sorting it. That's over 4K a year. But I have had a rebuild, new clutch, Nitrons and Leven bits.

Top cars fella but pricey to run. Whatever you decide good luck and remember History History History...

I had the same dilema, Cerb or Tuscan... wifey insisted on a 2+2 for the little people.
After many a test drive of both models, the Cerb won hands down.

Noise (F'kin awesome)
Rear seats

Against
No lift out roof

Both will cost an arm and a leg in upkeep, but hell is it worth it...miles of smiles.

All the above is IMOA and not in anyway do I imply any slur on the wonderful S6 engine that is fitted to All of the current range.
However if the factory ever did deceide to re-invent the AJP and put it in a new Tusc, then I would chance the earache from my beloved spouse and let the littlies walk.
