Speed Six Engine oil query

I’ve just taken the plunge and bought a Tuscan Speed 6, I’ve owned one years ago and remembered the keeping the revs low until oil temperature is over 60c!, what I’ve forgotten though is when checking the oil on one is it with the engine warm or cold?.
I know on other cars it’s usually best with the engine cold but distinctly remember the Speed Six being different, or am I imagining it?.

Also, I can’t believe I’ve gone so long without owning a TVR!, I know they’re not the quickest, or the sharpest things
