Hi all, first time on here although been reading for a few weeks.
I'm seriously considering a TVR, but would ideally need to use it every day for a short trip to work.
Really like the idea of a Cerbera but wonder if a Chim would be better suited to my needs.
Does any one have a Cerb as a daily runner? and how do you get on with it?
No doubt with many more question to follow soon

Looking through the threads on this forum most people seem to be of the opinion that it costs about twice as much per year to run a Cerbera compared with a Griff/Chimaera. Everyday use does help in reducing bills because all cars hate being left standing. A Griff/Chimaera may cost around £1000 per year to run, plus consumables, the Cerb £2000.

our cerb gets lots of use.
My husband drives it to work every day, approx 10 miles, and we both drive it at the weekend, so the poor car doesn't get much of a break
we've had it since march and its had a major service and some tuning, approx £1500, and a clutch change, which thankfully Mark did himself, otherwise it would have cost a lot more and been off the road a lot longer.
If you are willing to do stuff yourself there are lots of people on here to give advice when you get stuck
try to get to one of the TVR meets, lots of people to talk to first hand about their cars, and if you join us on the tunnel runs then you will definately be persuaded

I've had my Cerb 4.5 for 18 months and it goes everywhere, everyday and all weathers, sun, rain and snow. So far about 30k miles and only one problem (cooling fans) which was sorted in first weeks of ownership. My opinion - drive it regularly and it will seem to work better. If you do it - yes it will cost more than a chimera/griff - but I think its worth every pound. (note not every penny they don't exist in cerbera ownership!)
