Hate to disagree but there are usually 10 to 15 cars each month at the Central Scotland and Glasgow meetings.
The Celtic Gathering in Aberdeen this year had about 50 cars and Andy Andersons Angus run had about 25. We’ve also had a few runs up north to meet with the North East mob, again well supported. A couple of weeks ago we had a weekend in Argyle with 9 cars. On top of that there are track days and a few social evenings. So we have quite a few diehards up here.

Bo!!ocks. Just caught this thread - been off for a few days. How many meetings have you been to this year? Ever? How many runs or events?
Although the TVR community is fairly 'close knit' in Scotland, that simply means everyone gets to know each other. There are 2 regular TVRCC meetings each month - Glasgow and Central Scotland. There are many runs - big organisaed ones like Andy's, and impromptu sessions pre- and post- meetings. There are track events, karting (for which the TVRCC folks usually beat most of the other car clubs
), curry evenings, car shows, meets with other car clubs...plus many other opportunities to socialise with like minded people. Come along to one of the meets and see what it's about - and if there's something you particularly want to do and others are up for it as well it will run. This happened with a paintball session earlier this year. I have to say LA, I'm a bit pi$$ed off with your comments. Like so many of your other posts, unfortunately, you know absolutely nothing of the true position but pitch in with your limited view as if it's gospel. It's not. There are rather more than a few die-hards. We do rather more than a few runs. You have clearly chosen not to be part of the Scottish TVRCC community. That's fine. But just because you choose to do s0d-all in the TVR community North of the Border, don't try to suggest that there isn't anything going on.
I've also visited a number of other TVRCC regional meets on my jaunts around the country, and I can assure you that for its size and the number of owners, Central Scotland and Glasgow regions have more than their fare share of activities and participants. True, as we're getting into Autumn, there won't be too much car-related now until the spring, but there was an SIDC track day this weekend past, Glasgow's meet is next weekend and Central Scotlans the weekend after. I'm sure we'll get a night-out arranged before the end of the year, and I hope we'll have something arranged for Xmas. And I'd be surprised if there wasn't some karting on the cards too soon.
Oh, and that's just Central Scotland and Glasgow - who's events I'm familiar with. Don't forget there's also North Eash Scotland [Aberdeen mainly - the 'Nessies']. Plus, we get invites to many of the Northern Ireland events too. The Celtic Gathering [the 3 Scottish regions and Northern Ireland] is one of the clubs biggest non-track/non-model events of the year. Period.

We have recently relocated from Kirkcaldy, to meet at the Gartwhinzean Hotel at Powmill, near Crook of Devon. Time is 12:30, first Saturday of the month.

I've been on holiday as well so have only just seen this thread, but have to agree with Willie and Alan above, that while it's true that there are fewer TVRs up here, both the Glasgow and Central Scotland meetings are very well attended, as are the Aberdeen meets (although I've never been to one of those). We have a couple of formal runs a year, and a number of more spontaneous ones (especially in the summer) as a "tour" on the way to the Saturday meet, for example.
We had something like 40 cars for a rolling road day, more than 30 on each of the last summer runs, a dozen as an escort at one of the members' wedding, I could go on but what's the point - there will still be those who say "it's small compared to our meets so it's not important".
Fine. Delusions are wonderful things.
