Geo setup in Staffordshire /.DIY gauges

Anybody know of a good place in Staffordshire?
I am just rebushing the car and it will need setting up obviously.

Are the diy gauges you can get any use?

As there are only two adjustments at the rear, is it very difficult to do at home?

Just pondering the wheres and whys.





These are the recommended settings for a Griff with spiders, how do these differ from standard?

Front and rear camber 0.75 to 1.25 negative
Front Toe 10 to 20 minutes total cross axle (5 to 10 minutes per wheel)
Rear Toe 4 to 6 minutes each wheel
Front castor 4.75 to 5.25 positive

It's not particularly difficult to do at home as long as you are clear about exactly what you are trying to measure. You don't need any of that laser guided equipment, you can do it all with bits of string and a few sticks. It is definitey worth establish a level flat area to work on before you start, I do this with a variety of wooden boards under the wheels and a spirit level to make sure all four wheels are at the same height.

I bought a dash moulding off him a while ago and was very impressed with his attitude and set-up. As a consequence of my impression of that little bit of business he's doing a full body resto and respray on the Griff. Car going in on Thursday.
