My Porsche belt that I've had for 4 years has just fallen apart, causing much embarrassment at petrol station as it parted company while queuing to pay.

No TVR product has ever made my trousers drop, even on track days. Porsche reliability? Pah

A mate went all silly and spent a fortune on the Siemens(?) 'designed by Porsche' kettle and toaster when he got his new place.

And they're a bit crap. He wishes he'd bought a cheap Tefal set or something.

So obviously all Porsches are crap and don't perform

Cheers, Phil

Edited to remove shameful mix up of "their" and "they're"

Make your own belt out of some rubber bands & write "Westfield" on it with biro. Cheap, homebuilt and good power-to-weight!

Funny you should mention Tefal: I bought a Tefal iron back in January and it blew up at the weekend.
The point of buying it (50 quid!) was to avoid having some cheap rubbish. I got some expensive rubbish instead.

I saw that Ferdinand Porsche (isn't he dead yet?) has just accepted some more money to have his name stuck on something. Can't remember what it was though...

Isn't Porsche technically a design consultancy that happens to make cars (and that off-road thingumy-bollox)?

You can buy Porsche designed kettles, toasters, belts, pens, fuji digital cameras, even bloody sofas. He (or the consultancy) may have designed the aesthetics, but the companies who manufacture them are partly to blame...

AFAIK these are not made by Porsche but only designed by Butzi Porsche who has his own design company (and who is not interested in cars much )
