Alternator

just had to replace mine at 158.16 quid......is this a fair price, an alternator is an alternator and I've hadrecon units before for around 60 quid

TVRs will need a much meatier alternator than a simple Ford Festa or whatever so I guess the price is about right ... A new should be twice that.

It cost 100 quid to have mine reconditioned with a new diode pack and voltage regulator (includes bushes).

Have just had to fit a new alternator on my Griff500.
It cost £113 from Halfords and I had to hand over the old one.The origional was a Lucas but the Lucas dealer didn't have any in stock so a Valeo replacement was ordered.
