Tuscan Subwoofer

Hi,
Pretty new on this site, must excuse my possessive wife!!!
I have had a Tuscan since May and I got it with a pair of speakers on the back bulkhead with a 6" sub between them in the centre, This flaps a lot when I want more volume/bass, like when I go fast with the roof off. The local sextons car hi-fi dealers said they could make a bespoke bass box for about £400 all in, but I was wondering if there was perhaps a cheaper way, by maybe making one myself with maybe fibreglass, anyone had experience of doing this? or know a way to get round it without the box and not losing the back shelf. Any help would be grateful

Looks really nice, but I have 2 speakers mounted also in the bulkhead, so would just need to encase the sub. I'd like to have a go with fibreglass myself, but not exactly sure how to go about it, as I've never used it before...any tips anywhere? Noticed you live in Gloucestershire on your profile, anywhere near Bristol? I'm there Mon-Thurs in my super slow diesel!!!!

No experience of working with the actual materials.- just paid thr professionals. Wjat I can say is that fibreglaas would have to be damned think to hold a subwoofer, else the vibration will ruin the sound and the mountings- maybe better to use MDF or something???

I think there are a couple of guys who have actually done the type of thing you are afte- post your thread on the Tuscan page and you will find rescue.

BTW only in gloucestershire on weekends nowadays and would be v glad to say hello- drop me an email.
