Definitely in 2006, will be at Blackpool Airport, lots of the details still to be finalized.

Good news though, especially with D.O. talking to the club as well. Positive news from the factory in my opinion. Lets hope it continues and TVR gets well and truly back on track.

Well since you're that far north, why not bring yer tent and get in some camping in the Lakes? I was thinking of asking around to see if there's any interest in some fell-walking/ boozing/ TVR-cruising through the scenery... a couple of 2000 foot+ hills sets you up nicely for Cumberland sausage and a pint of OP...

It's not TVR CC exclusive now

I'm very glad TVR now see the TVR CC as what it is : a very useful way to sell to their existing owners..

Is it me, but reading between the lines of D.O.'s column in Sprint, is it significant that he did not mention factory tours? IMHO that is one of the key features of a Back-Home event.

Ah, but if the airport is open on the day (is it?) I thought I'd go 1 better and fly in (if my PPL complete by then). Oh yeah, then I won't have a TVR - D'Oh!

What about doing a Lakes and Dales run? One day and night in the Lakes and then over to the Dales for the same. A chance to take in the fantastic scenery of Britains two finest National parks.

If the Blackpool tour is not available we could finish day 2 in Masham and have the Theakstons factory tour and then cross the road and have the Black Sheep one. Hic.

Personally it is likely that I would still go even if the factory didn't oblige with a visit.

The factory visit is only a part of the weekend for me. I enjoy meeting old faces and supporting the TVR CC and soaking up the Blackpool atmosphere. A good turnout without the factory support might show TVR what a prime opportunity they are missing. There is a lot of brand loyalty with TVR customers and it would be a marketing disaster if they failed to involve themselves with the car club.
