I have just posted in the 'Event/Meetings...' about a planned run-out on Saturday afternoon.
Not sure how to link between the two threads so thought I'd stick something on this one too as I want to make sure we can get as many TVR's as possible and not be out numbered by the Lotus/Porsche community

Date: Saturday 10th December 05, 2pm
Venue: Start/Finish Wickham
Route: A32, A272 etc etc - maps provided on the day. Probably 1-1.5 hours

Can I come? Even though my Chim 500 is in the bodyshop, I fancy a run-out. I have got a brand new Boxter as a temporary replacement, which I fancy putting through its paces.

Let's see if its rumoured fantastic handling will enable it to keep up. Even though with only 240 horsepower, it may not. Having said that, they are Porsche "real" horses, not TVR horses...

Just feels SOOOOOO much slower than my Chim.

We have a Carrera 4S coming along too so may give you a run for your money

I done the same thing last year, couldn't keep up with anything, even bounced off the limiter in every gear.

Probably A32 to West Meon, A272 towards Winchester then back round via the Morestead Road to Corhampton. Its just over 40 miles, enough to loose those cobwebs!

Will try to make it, got to go shopping in Scumhampton first thing and then do Dim Sum at Park Gate with the misses . So cutting it a bit fine to make it for 2pm, but will try. The weather looks good too .

A fairly nice blat, cheers mark . A bit sedate to begin with but the road back from Winchester way was nice, if a bit too twisty in places for the Tiv in this weather though . Apologies for holding up the Elise schnozz . I can but assume you were holding up the porka in turn, funny how I never saw it again in my mirrors until near the end though . Nice car btw.
I bet thats a superb road in the dry. so much so, I'll add it to the goodwood half for a wonderous figure of 8 summer blat.

Yep i nice little run boy was it slippery in places wheel spinning in 3rd at one point, it certainly kept every one on there toes i watched you all come into the community centre car park and EVERY ONE show boated see you all on the 27th

Roads were a tad slippery, just couldn't seem to get any traction, the bloody car kept sliding about

Should be a rule that everyone has to circumnavigate every roundabout, adds to the grin factor

Agree with Harry, road back through Morestead was excellent and quiet (apart from a coule of thousand horsepower)

Nice pint at the end, just was missing the log fire

Was a top night out. The limo driver just couldn't get the same sideways manouvres as you seemed to manage in the afternoon though

I aim to please.

Big part of the fun for me owning a TVR is the rear action fun you can have with it. Missing an opportunity to give it a tweak or two isn't an option in my book. I try and keep it to where I can enjoy the lairyness of it, without risking me, the car or others with my stupidity.

They are entertaining cars to drive and I see no reason why bystanders should not benefit from them also

Never tried hanging the arse end of a Limo out before, any chance your mate may be up for lending me it for a couple of hours Schnoz ?

Hopefully see some of you out and about at Xmas

Rear tyres .... not long

Good thing is this time of year wear rate is drastically reduced during such behavoir. Summer may be a different matter though.

Could do with seeing a bit more twitching going on from the rest of you. Elise excluded (not powerful enough to powerslide ) and Carrera 4 excused (wrong drivetrain fitted )
