So, the next TVR

Obviously there's rumours of the next one being the Cerb replacement, but what would people actually like to see on it.
Personally, I really hope that its knocking out near 500bhp, as 400's just so 'last year'.
I've still on the fence as to whether they should have assisted braking, but definately no traction control. Airbags also a maybe, assuming they are going to eventually want to sell to other markets.
£60k, 3 years warranty, a bit of testing prior to release
& I think they have another winner. Too much of the 'same' at the moment in their current line-up.

Dump the 6 & 8 cylinder engines - make an ajp10 - over five litres using current piston size etc (plus a supercharger!). Could easily be good for 500 bhp plus.
I like the sound of that, but with out the turbo charger.
Mid engined AJP10, Gallardo alternative?

Why, when you've got the T350 in its various guises and the Sagaris, would you want to do that? Personally I see it as being a case of extremes. Either a new 2+2, a la Cerb, or a smaller, entry level model such as an Elise rival.
Can't see TVR going down the entry level route (circa 30k) as the new owner seems to have aspirations of taking on the big boys, and this would devalue the 'brand'.
Has to be a 2+2, just a case of what engine they put in it.
As for 400bhp. If they go V8 then surely they can get much more, as others have proven. If they stick with the speed 6 then 400 is probably more likely.

L2 to with a bit of work Wortec think is knocking on 500, even std with lots of ecu tuning and good exhaust 450
When I was TVR I would consult my buyers: what would they want to replace their current car for? 
I guess the supercharged S6 is out . . . 2plus2 would be in the line, Cerby replacement. The V8 debat can be read at various threads here, last months gave us the same opinions over and over again. Smaller entry-level TVR therefor is also out . . . A and which Yank mill is the big question.
I changed my views a bit and think a good Roush Ford - as in the Superperformance - would be ideal in a car like the Cerb Mk2. But please give it a new name . . .

thanks to the whiners it's probably going to have a push rod chevy engine that wheezes over 5000 rpm. May as well use a diesel. Or just get a Marcos instead.
I would imagine it would be too expensive for TVR to make an all new engine, at least one that was as reliable as a chevy and they aren't selling enough cars at the moment to justify the investment. Again thanks a lot to the S6 scaremonger brigade.
Just another reason why a car manufacturer should never listen to it's unqualified and mostly negative customers and continue to do what the hell it (ie full time professional car designers and engineers). The most loved lamborghini designs would never have made it through a focus group.
Look what's happened to ferrari now they're all customer focused. The cars all have jolly nice headroom but they look like crap to me at least. Dream cars? Not anymore, more the stuff of nightmares. And for me to ever pay more than focus money on a car, it has to appeal on an emotional level. Practical ferraris? Rubbish. Porsche do it better.
I think TVR should continue to say 'screw you' to us all in the time honoured Peter Wheeler fashion and keep making ridiculous cars that I won't be able to stop myself ordering at motorshows. If they go the practical chevy V8 route I'll be looking elsewhere.
