1960's Griffith Lightweight.

I saw a 1960's Griffith Lightweight with a 5 ltr Ford Mustang (Shelby) engine
pushing 450bhp and it has the GT40 head.

Believe it or not it has Cortina brakes....


This car is not used on the road and is stored in concours condition.

Just wondering if anybody knows of others or is this beast rocking horse shit.

Used to be a site dedicated to these 200 and 400 series cars - don't think working now.

That is fairly common - if 5.0 would not be FIA spec. But you can run 60 thou over (close to 5.0) but with thearlier weaker block and bigger brakes (solid) and be FIA compliant. Fatest car on the Monster Summer meet was one of these! Sweet - lov em - nearly bought one from US a few years back (got stiffed on th deal right at the end!)

The Griffith club is being reformed and the site will be back in operation in the near future. Just stay tuned.
