These TVR's have a mind of their own!

So, snowy this morning and I had to get to work. Would normally have taken the Mrs's Ford Ka, however that blew a head gasket this weekend! grrrr!

Still, the TVR made the decision for me to not take it either by not unlocking, mechanism must have been frozen and I couldn't even press the open button down! I think it was trying to tell me something

So, 15 quid taxi ride later and I'm at work. Just hope it really dumps with snow today to at least justify it - main roads were absolutely fine it was only the local ones that were slippy ( saying that the taxi did slide most of the way to the main road )

Yeah - probably just as well as those roads are deceptively treacherous. Tivs do have a mind of their own, and yours obviously had tuned in to the weather forecast and hence decided not to go out that day

I've left mine safely tucked up in bed with it's cover on and the battery conditioner keeping it nicely topped up. My Volvo has whisked me into work this morning.

Glad I left it at home now. Managed to get into it tonight, had to swap cars on the drive for tomorrow morning. Couldn't even get out of my drive properly due to snow/ice on the sloping cul-de-sac. Discovered that the gear named "reverse" on the car actually is a sideways gear :P Had all on just to get back on my drive!

I'll happily take public transport again tomorrow!

I had great fun yesterday, the chim (i.e me) had an enormous amount of fun going sideways and pretending to do banzai race starts wheel spinning for about 50m down the road....
Admittidely it was on deserted wide roads with no worries of hitting anyone/thing but I definately think she enjoyed herself playing in the snow.

Had a bit of a sideways incident trying mild acceleration after a speed camera on the A12, caused a bit of to and fro and concern for my mate behind, but managed to control it before anything bad happened. It is indeed slippy out there!

Slightly more than a "bit" IIRC, certainly looked scarey from where I was sitting.
