Just bought a copy of Classic Ford with cover article on a TVR V8 escy.
"ENGINE - Taraka 500 TVR V8, 5000cc. aluminium block, cross-drilled crank, modified cylinder heads, dry sump, large-port inlet manifold, matched ports, fully balanced bottom end, solid mechanical lifters, TVR Power ECU Eprom chip, etc. etc."
They reckon it's putting out 380 bhp with an all up weight of 1000kg
It's owned by a bloke called Mark McCraken (I should think his nickname is Crackers). Said to have cost £100k to build. It was originally built by Mike Taylor Developments in North Allerton for a member of a well know chocolate making family. The owner describes the ride as "entertaining".
It's worth the £3.80 to have a look at this beauty - can't post any pics as I don't have a scanner.

Unless it's the 5.3 conversion, but i noticed it doesn't have the Taraka plaque on the engine.
My Taraka is 320 bhp, so this engine must have had some serious extra mods if it puts out 380bhp.
