So rather than hijack the Chesterfield tread for the likes of Jamer, Phil, and anyone else whos up for a Nottingham night?
Any preferances to a Friday 13th or a Saturday 14th

And to get you in the mood
www.itchynottingham.co.uk/articles/3.html

I think racegirl better come back off holiday soon, so far it's been Karting, Concerts, (and NCP agro), Chesterfield (maybe if I can find somewhere to lay my head ) And now I'm of on the lash around Notts

From a purely selfish point of view - Friday night is better for me, as I usually work Saturday night/Sunday morning, and Railtrack get a bit funny if you turn up to work p*ssed

But it would be a good excuse to have a weekend off if the majority fancy the Saturday...

What sort of itinerary we looking at? Nothing too poncy I hope?

Cheers, Phil

Is that place still outlandishly expensive, went there about 8 years ago and the prices were just silly

But stop hijacking my thread, it's Nottingham were organising here not random European cities

Hey, I will gadly take a Saturday night off work (to make it the 14th) - just to see the legendary Mungo at work...

But I am glad my 'Mrs' will be safely out of the way at work while he is in the vicinity

That an open invitation or is it a private party
Chesterfield looks like it might be a bit tricky, but Notts is a £1 bus ride away and racegirl is still on Hoilday so any excuse for much beer lairyness
Must try to stay awake untill I get home though, the other Saturday I fell asleep on the party bus home, got woke up by the last chap getting off, but luckily I was right at my stop, the last one before the bus heads back into town

It's my old firms Xmas piss up. No idea where we are going yet and I won't until we get there, but we usually crawl down the long street with all the pubs in it, before hitting a nightclub!!

MGM's is now Ocean and you don't want go there
The Hockley/Lace Market aera is a bit more classy with late bars as aposed to 'cheesy night clubs'
You have to either know the clubs or ask the people in the queue or you could end up with 3 hours of banging Drum & Bass or werido Goth stuff, there are some real dives but a few classy places hiding away up the back streets, all depends what you want really

That narrows it down a bit then
If I was you I'd try and head into Hockley, start off in the Pitcher & Piano, and work your way around that aera, unless you like it really rowdy and what to dice it with the 'Yates' crowd

I would be up for Friday 20th. Let me know.

Raceboy, we normally end up in a club that has two or three levels to it with dancefloors playing different types of music...does that ring any bells?

There are a few like that, The Palais is probably the biggest, 2 floor main club with a small 'basement'
Must say I've not been clubbing in Notts for a while, a few mates used to promote they own theme nights in the Palais 'School Days' & 'Doctors & Nurses' type nights, we usually end up in late bars, now we're getting older we search out the more safisticated establishments

Right then the final date is Friday 20th December
Looking forward to seeing Jamer in a state, don't even think I've seen him drunk at Le Mans
Meeting time 8pm, I'll sort out a pub which is easy to find and quiet enough to spot each other nearer the date

Friday 20th? Oh bugger that's the day of works Christmas luncheon

Will have to pace the drinking as we usually start about 11:30am - lunchtime drinking usually means knackered by teatime...

Still, I'll give it my best but it means you will see me on my annual wearing-of-a-suit day.

Cheers, Phil

Well Cirvy & Taff have chickened out with the feeble excuse of a works do
They will be getting much stick at the weekend
I'll have a reccy round Notts before the 20th (any excuse) and ask Racegirl where the best places are, shes much more of a pro-drinker than me , I presume you are all quite 'normal' and we have no Maryln Manson types amoung us
