Ebay Warning

Please take note and be warned !!!!


Yesterday i saw a Lotus Esprit on Ebay, new listing, only 2 day listing, buy now option at 4900 euros, located in ireland, seller had 175 star rating.

Thing is car was a bargain, when checking the sellers profile his rating has achieved from purchases under a fiver, also i recognised the car and advert as it was advertised a couple of weeks ago, no feedback from guy who sold him the car.

I then trawled through ebay and found the original seller of the esprit and told him the car was back up for sale, i asked if he had sold the car to this guy or was it a scam?

The answer is ITS STILL ON HIS DRIVE IN ENGLAND AND HASNT BEEN SOLD.



The morale of the story:

Ebay star rating - do not blindly believe it
All that glitters is not gold

Yes this happens a lot to a certain Nissan Skyline R33 GTR (i've seen the same one several times now!). The car is not for sale but someones ebay account is hacked and the car is placed up for sale with a stupid buy it now price of £4800. The scammer tries to divert any enquiries to their own e mail address and says dont contact through ebay...
