Pubman/Geoff.......a tad dissappointed, having looked forward to a trip out today, eventually found your pub after an hour ( my son was map reading ! ) to be confronted by one of your guys who made it clear we had to leave if we were not staying to eat. Only wanted to catch up with a few TVR friends have a beer for 20 mins then go ~ Not acceptable to your guy, who said food or leave.( he struck me as being a little too enthusiastic in his role......perhaps he's a wheel clamper when he doesn't work for you ! )
If you wish to restrict entance to your pub ( obviously your choice )it would have been a good idea to have made it clear on the various threads( at least I don't think you did ), I noted in one response that you were volunteering your family to help one family with a small child , so I naturally assumed a well behaved 12 year old would not have been a problem.
Just a shame when something like this screws up what should be a good trip out.
I tried to email you of line but for some reason could not connect.

Thanks Geoff. A decent meal and some good company made up for the less than perfect weather. Not so bad as MJH (Matt?), but I got a bit of Jobsworth from one of your guys 'cos I tried to order food when I was standing at least 4 ft away from the place he thought I should be standing - so I moved two paces and then he would serve me!

Great to see so many of you that I hadn't met before. And Racing Green was impressive - especially the bacon butties

Tom - hope you got your formula red home without the misfire getting any worse.

See you all again next time.

John.

Geoff

Great food and a super selection of ales - in great condition. I shall be back with a driver next time so I can sample a few more [:thoughnottomungoesqueproportions:]

Sorry that others had some problems - just to balance this, I wasn't scolded once during the whole visit and my daughter really enjoyed her first TVR experience - she counted 31 TVRs in your car park!

We'll be back

They're a bit slow those Audi's...

Even a 1.3 Polo does a good job keeping up!

Good meet tho - even tho I was a little late (as usual )

Preacher - can't wait... about time everyone
had a shirt made up with their handles on..!

Nice meal pub man .. would have been nice to
meet you but I guess you were busy.

Hope my leaving 'launch' did not up set too many
of your neighbours... I was egged on by other
TVR fans who wanted to hear a SEAC.

Good food and the "Piddle in the Hole" was a nice pint, and yes that was the real name.

Excellent day out.

Thanks for your concern John. I got home OK, but it's not a happy engine when trying to cruise along in motorway traffic. I shall see what the diagnosis is from the dealer next week.

Cheers for letting a Jap Nutter mobile sneak in amongst the TVRs

Racing Green deserve a too, bacon butties and some gorgeous cars to drool over. A great Sunday morning.

Thanks for a great meal and beer (I tried some TEA ad then had a Piddle).

It was good to meet a few new PHers - hope to see you all soon.

Next time I hope to be in the Tiv rather than a hire car. Do we have to wait for the summer before the next meet ?
