Finally been caught for speeding...........

............in bl**dy Australia!!! I thought I had to share my funny story with you all cause I cant believe it myself! I have owned and driven to excess Audi TT V6's, Porsche 911 Carrera S, TVR Tuscan and BMW's in the UK and have NEVER been caught for speeding!! I go to Australia, hire a Holden Commodore that was the colour of Aqua Marine (nice and stylish!). I drive 6 hours up the Paciic Highway frm Sydney and then head back again............I am doing 15km over the speed limit and Mr Motor Cycle Copper pulls me and slaps me with a $225 fine! Typical.......ah well at least no points on the license!!

First time in my life and I wasnt even in a cool ride!!!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me on Pacific Highway.

At the time I'd never been caught in the UK, took a Toyota people carrier down to Melbourne and ended up with a A$500 fine

When I was there last year I was amazed at the amount of speed traps along the highway from Margaret River to Perth, 3 hours worth of highway we counted 6 radar traps. Lucky I was in a tank of a Patrol

I was in Busselton South of Perth for a couple of weeks in November, I got nailed for driving 12kmh over the limit for about 20s (A$100 fine). They take it pretty seriously in WA.
Best to blatt up to Darwin where apparently there is no limit....

I think the BiBluey must have thought their equipment was faulty as I was in a VW camper at the time.

Got pulled I the same vehicle in NSW for almost chopping the coppers wing off as I swung a bit wide entering a Deli car park. That woke him up.

Coming back from Freemantle one day to Perth, on a sunday and there was a radar trap, but they had a 52 seater coach coach causing a temporary pull over zone too, where they were breathe testing at random also. I mean, I bloody great big bus full off Police a que of cars being pulled up. I didnt get stopped, but it looked soooooooo scarey.

Went to York one day and the roads there are quite open single carrageway and you can really get a lick on there. I didnt see a car for 30 mins to the next, which, meant if you crashed into the snake infested fields, you were sure to not make it, either through being bitten to death, or, no one stopping for a day or two.

WA nice place, but to not drink and drive or speed. in NZ in some states, if you get caught speeding 3 time in 2 years, its an auto ban on the spot for 3 months, no appeals, and its instant.
