Has anyone got the latest on the threatened rumours of an imminent closure of TVR at Blackpool ?
The local gossip is in full swing with "Smelly Nicholas" on the receiving end of much abuse. Apparently more will be known in the next few days. Fingers crossed that it will be "Good News" and all the doom and gloom will be lifted.

Unless someone has heard that the factory is moving to a new site and closing the old one, but simply picked up on the magic word "closed"....

A TVR closure rumour shows up on here every other month. I wouldn't worry about it without any evidence.

The factory isn’t closed permanently. It’s closed for a routine problem, which in no way means it’s built like a garden shed with bits stolen from different garden centres. The factory’s six-boiler power generation plant has blown up (again) and we are replacing it at significant cost. There are also some problems with the wiring.
We’d like to remind you that despite the fact that the TVR factory has more closures than any other factory out there, it is faster and louder than any other factory, and looks like a rabid alien on crystal meth. And these days, most of the factory machinery is built in house, rather than being taken from Ford’s or Rover’s factory.

I was hoping someone else might be forthcoming with info. This is not malicious gossip, it is first hand info from some very disgruntled staff at the factory here in Blackpool. Sorry for being so unhelpful, guess I'll shut up as I cannot say any more at this present moment in time.
