Looking to buy a Chim later this year, and went to Fernhurst TVR yesterday. Service was excellent and the cars seemed in great nick - also good test drive (my first of a TVR) - Loved it 
Anyway, just wanted to find out other peoples' experience of Fernhurst (including after sales, warranty etc) as I will seriously consider buying from them. Are they are good as they seem to be?!

I bought a Chimaera from Fernies around 15 months ago and am very pleased with the service I've received from Fernies.
The only thing to go wrong under warranty was a broken speedo, which was replaced without any hassle. Since then I have also used Fernies to fix some niggles with the car and their service has been nothing short excellent.
I'd certainly have no doubts about buying from them again.

I'm going to possible break the name and shaming rules and tell you the worst thing I can think of about Fernies. Everything has always been excellent apart from this one atrocity that has ruined them for me. It's really bad and I'll probably get done for this but here goes:
Their vending machine coffee is awful.
Other than that, they're a first class bunch. I especially like the way they do station pick-ups for us train commuters in either your own car, or one they're setting up for sale - loved the pickup in a Cerb!
Mine came from there and if my next one isn't going to be a brand new one, then it'll also come from there too.

Wasn't aware you can't post negative things on here (which seems a real shame, but I dare say is something that has been debated at length).
Anyone with anything negative is very welcome to email me though - Be good to have the full picture. Also negative (and positive) stuff about other dealers of used TVRs in the South East would be welcome.

Which Chim were you looking at? If it was a Crimson Starmist R81 EAN then it used to be mine before the last owner, On my second car now from Fernies, really are a great bunch of guy's.
I think trust is the most important thing with a garage, they certainly have mine.

Drew was a nice guy although they kept £2500 deposit that i put on a car but was then unable to purchase, you might be able to use it for a small fee. I tried to retreive it through the legal route but they decided they wanted to keep it for some strange reason. Very low thing to do but some dealers dont look at peoples situations they just want £££££££££££.
