Get spares from TVR Power

TVR Power announced it has bought TVR Engineering's entire stock of spare parts for Chimaeras, Griffiths, and AJP V8s.

TVR Power's Dom Trickett said that the company now has £1 million of stock for sale to both trade and general public.

The dealer said that this means anyone who needs a spare can buy it directly, rather than going to TVR itself.

Sounds like TVR is clearing out space for a move...

So what happens when the AJP V8 bits run out of stock? Is it TVR Powers intention to continue manufacture or any obsolete parts as and when?

What to do? Do all the Cerb' owners start stockpiling bits 'just in case'?

I'm not trying to be negative, just undecided as to the effect this may have in the long run.

Wonder if this includes body moulds, chassis jigs and other manufacturing tooling? The factory have long since ceased supporting the S and Wedge models, so I suppose it was inevitable.....

A million quids worth does not really sound like a huge amount of bit when you add it all up knowing what your average single component would cost.

Here's hoping it does include the tooling. This is the same trusty Chim I've had for 40 years. Two new chassis and a few new bodies.

It is my understanding that all the parts can be sourced as normal through your dealer and that the parts are still being dispatched from Blackpool
It seems as though it is just the paperwork side going through power and that TVR haven't sold the jigs,bucks and rights etc
I still reckon it is still worth trying people like TVRcarparts,Austec etc as they also hold large stocks of parts and offer upgrades and alternatives as well as oe parts

is/ will there be any sort plan to give long term surport or this the start of out with the old.
will we all have to pay more for bits and are things going to be harder to get?
so will any new Cerbs if they get made have an ajp or a lump base on it?

Tried to get some parts for my chimaera diff this week phoned the factory and they did not want to know they are not interested in older models mine is an 02 think its not very good sure they could make some money on supplying parts for older models after some phoning different people at the factory eventualy told the manufacturer of the diff and they were very helpfull so older tvr owners beware the factory dosent want to know

I recon best if non Sp6 based - all they make now is to research any part you need first - not even think about going to the factory - they obvoiusly not interested, Indie then power - or better still source the parts outsideof the whole TVr cleeky world and fit yourself or get local gargae to do it / anything.

That will be your four year old "older model" then! My Cerb will be three in May so is that an old model too? jesus!
