TVR Power has organised a driving weekend in May, covering the Lakes and southern Scotland.

The dealer described it as: "An opportunity for TVR Power to meet up with our customers and kick start some enjoyable TVR motoring in 2006.

"We’ve put together a weekend away focused on driving some of the finest roads around the Lake District and Southern Scotland. Although we cover quite a lot of mileage on this weekend, the route has been designed to accommodate the route comfortably over the two days allowing plenty of time to stop for breaks, fuel and lunch.

"This weekend takes in a combination of tourist hot spots with stunning scenery to hand picked back roads that you would likely never come across which give you a sense of being in the middle on know where."

It happens on the weekend of 6-7 May 2006.

Does anyone know how much this will cost? Are ex-Griff owners allowed? Also have a slight concern that traffic may be terrible, especially around tourist hot-spots. Any thoughts?

Ian and myself were at Power on Sunday and got the info on this and the Swiss tour in September (don't mind that as it's a nice way to spend my 31st birthday).

TVR say: Although already detailed clearly in the Driving Adventures Terms & Conditions we insist that you drive in a sensible manor taking into account the highway code and respect for those who live and visit the places we’ll be driving through on this trip, especially when in populated and residential areas.

Does this mean we drive in our manor ? Someone elses manor or in a courteous manner ? Obviously never heard of "spell check"
What is a sensible manner anyway ?
I should think my idea of sensible would terrify some folk, as no doubt their idea of sensible would scare me too.
Why would anyone wish to drive around the Lowlands of Scotland when the Highlands have some of the greatest, twistiest, windiest, quietest, cop, traffic and camera free roads in the UK ???
I think I should set up " MANIC TVR TOURS OF THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS"
