Hi from a newbee

After spending a lot of time wondering what car to get next (& getting nowhere) I drove up to Wigan-based TVR dealer H L Gorner just to have a look at those TVR things, just to eliminate them from my list of possibilities you see! Blimey! It was like a Cannonball car park in there! All of a sudden I could feel small horns sprouting from my head & strange primeval emotions caused hot flushes…. Anyway, to cut a long story short…. I have now had a Mk 1 Tuscan S, 03 car (that I thought would be a good ‘my first TVR’ ) since Wednesday to see just what it’s like to own one of these things.

Well this looks like the place to visit if you have one of these things, so I have just logged in to say Hi.

First impressions.

Wow that sound! it sounds like you’re doing 100mph at 40! And when you’re parked, strangers insist on talking to you about the car (mostly men, unfortunately!) by the way, how long does it take before you can get it into 3rd smoothly & is it me or do they all feel so light in the steering at high speed? But what an animal it is. I think we may get along very well.

I've been keeping them amused for some time now


I'm in Haslington, near Crewe.... Daily trip to Longport, Stoke-On-Trent & back from now on every day!
