Silly thread I know, but after a week of seeing my Chim sodden on the drive, I couldn't resist taking off the LT cover and giving her a wash. I am always amazed at how bloody lovely the Chim looks, especially when sparkling, and what a timeless shape it has, including the Griff, and the newer ones are just drop dead gorgeous! I haven't been in the car since last Friday, and I always cross my fingers when I go to start her up, but, as usual, she still roars, so far, this car has been faultless, touch wood!
One thing I have noticed whilst washing the car is that the wing mirrors seem to have a slight gap between the two mouldings,, is this the norm?
Can't wait for my drive from Gloucester to Redditch tomorrow when I pick up my son, hope the weather's like today!

After 3 months of TVR ownership, I am beginning to realise that owning a TVR is in a totally different league to any other, I love it!!

Hope you don't mind me posting this silly thread!

As I'm a generous fellow you are welcome to wash my chimp any time you like.

I will take satisfaction in the knowledge that you are at one with the universe while doing it.

I spent most of last January and a substantial part of November sorting out my Chimaera chassis (stripping, painting etc.) and decided never to drive it in the rain / winter / dirt etc.

Well, that lasted all of several months! I've used it on and off throughout this winter and loved every minute of it.

It's absolutely filthy and I am sure that the chassis is a riot of rot again, but screw it, you have to ENJOY these cars!!

I'm rather sad - washed my cerb on xmas eve, just finishing chamoising(sp?) off when it started to lightly rain.

Found myself chasing round and round the car trying to keep up with little specks of moisture until I finally came to my senses and just jumped in it for a spin

lol, thats not sad Byff, we've just been to TGI Friday's in Cheltenham ( too lazy to cook!!!), and now, I feel like I need to clean the car again!!!
even had a new MR2 trying to race me!!!!
But, alas, the hood cover's back on, (always sad covering her up again), and hopefully, should have a nice drive tomorrow.
Oh yes, what is the best cleaning stuff for the leather?, am not sure what to use, and who does the best deal regarding SO3s and wheel cleaning??, Just for future reference, as I have noticed that when I get out of the car, I can smell rubber, and didn't even realise I span the wheels!! Must stop that!!
