hey guys, is there much difference between a normal tuscan and a tuscan s, and what bout with the mk2, thanx

they look a bit different.
the MK1 Tuscan S has a spoiler on the back and the rear lamps go up the rear of the car. (the standard Tuscan has its indicators in the rear window frame and the reversing/brake lights by the numberplate mounting) and the S has a wind Gurney under the front grille.
the S also has a 390 BHP version of the 4 litre straight 6 (later upped to 400 BHP when the red rose Tuscans ceased and the standard Tuscan engine's capacity reduced to 3.6 litres, 350 BHP. the main engine in the current range of TVR's)
the MK2 Tusc S has a huge spoiler on the back and 2 fins under the front wings.

Re the Mk 1 - If my memory serves, the main differences were that the "S" had (aside from the extra BHP)

- Air Con as standard
- improved suspension
- larger brakes
- gas discharge headlamps
- 18 inch wheels as standard
- close ratio gearbox
- and a DAB stereo

Not sure if these still apply to the Mk II or not. Lots of folk on the Tuscan forum better in the know than I!

Plus the all importent colour coded boot carpet and steering wheel! Oh and a two year full car warranty.

Although I think not all Mk1 Ss have the cr box as it wasn't ready when the first cars were sold but was retro fitted if requested by original owner.

if i could stretch to an S i'd have one but the normal Tuscan is fast enough for most people! just make sure if you buy an early one that you buy a spare block just in case the engine goes pop! later models are a safer bet second hand because most of the problems the early speed 6's suffered from were ironed out. and always make sure that if a car has had a rebuild that is documented in the log book.
