Just fitted new 'GAZ' shocks and Steve Heath drop links to my 450 Chimaera. Very pleased I am too and this is before I get it corner weighted. Seems good improvement over standard for what it's worth. Not a track day fiend or race car wannabe, just want the car to go where I want it without drama. Seems fait accompli. [please excuse spleling, thread is 'Stella Artois' induced]

Thought this was some dodgy reference. Thnaks for the help with the bushes Derek - all now fitted. Just got to do the front drop links and we're away.

Took my S2 there for the GAZ springs & dampers to be fitted / set up. I can highly recommend Steve and will be taking my car back to him if I need anything else doing in the future.

What an interesting thread...Stella and voile curtain hanging quality!
Hopefully I will be mobile again in the not too distant future, on this basis what start points did you set the shocks up at?
Mac must say that the car looked fantastic on Sunday, ride height really suited the car....can't wait to get mine running again now.

Steve, I haven't had a play myself yet with the GG jobbies, I'm on the waiting list myself.
However from feedback from dealers 8/10 clicks front and 12/14 clicks rear, I would start on the lower settings and see how you go.
Drop me a PM to let me know what settings you reckon work.

No worries and thanks for the advice, I think we should go for the "compliment each other approach" as opposed to the "out bling" one!
Hopefully we will end up with a couple of head turners...anyway took a step back this week ended up taking the steering rack back off, as I decided to get it replaced...Bu**er!
What size front tyres are you running? I have gone from 225/45x17 to 215/40x17 Proxy's they look O.K. but I think it may look a bit under tyred?
any thoughts?

I dont understand if they want steel shocks,why folks dont go and buy some Avo's from those nice people at Leven,and save themselves a couple of hundred £!?
