Anyone used waxoyl in the aerosol spray can? It looks convienient compared to thinning and pressurising as per normal. Must get around to some chassis treatment before it rusts away.

used it the day after the full monty session, to finish off the little bits I'd missed without setting up the full regalia. Seems OK

The cans are a more expensive way of doing the job - I used roughly 2 cans to 'top-up' on my Griff but that was after I had de-rusted and re-painted the most prone areas.

However the little straw's that come with the cans are extra usefull for forcing the wax between the body and the chassis tubes!! (and make it more easy to avoid the brake areas)

I do not find the need to thin waxoyl, just pop the tin in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes before using. I have decanted some into an old jam jar which I can heat as above, or in the microwave, and apply with a small paint brush, If I come across an area needing a quick touch up.

I can't speak from experience here, but I did see a copy of Auto magazine (I think) over Xmas which had done a product comparison on such products. It rated the equivalent Hamerite product (in spray can) as the best product. Waxoyl came 2nd if I recall.

Anybody know more about this product or used it ?
