Pedal Positioning

Is there a correct position for the pedals . I suppose the answer may be "whatever is comfortable" , but I purchased my Chimaera and thoroughly enjoy driving it , but after a while thought that maybe I have just got used to the pedal positions . The accelerator is much further away from the seat than the clutch and brake so that you have to lift the right leg quite a lot to move between the acc. and brake. Is this ok or should I realign them ?
If what I have is the "correct" position , then I won't bother . Secondly , if I am to go into the depths of the footwell I was considering the aluminium pedals from Leven . Bearing in mind I don't intend to do any track work , are they a worthwhile buy , are they slippery if wearing wet shoes ?

The brake and clutch pedals can be adjusted for length. At the base of the pedal you'll see a nut which can be undone in order to slide the pedal body up and down.

Thanks for the response , I have had a look and can see how to adjust the pedals but my question is adjust to what position. I feel that to have the pedals closer in alignment is a better position , but are there guidelines on the correct position , or is it trial and error.

You want to adjust the brake pedal such that when depressed near the limit of its downward travel it easy to roll your right foot over to the right a bit and "blip" the accelerator.

This will allow the use of heel and toe. If, as in our case, your wife is a bit short of leg and cannot fully depress the brake and clutch with the pedals in such a position then you'll have to live with it.

Our brake/clutch are waaaay too high but its what makes it driveable by Mrs Don so that's it.

Can recommend leven set...can adjust all three pedals fore and aft. I dont do track days currently and have no probs, dont find them slippery, really.
Only problem is time spent adjusting; dont arf get backache after a while....! Good luck.

If you adjust the clutch pedal does it alter the bite point? I don't have a problem with the brake and accelerator, but the clutch bites near the bottom and I have to stretch my left leg when sitting at lights or on a hill.
