Griff seats on ebay

Just seen a pair of Griff seats go on ebay for £715,
Is it me or does that seem a lot of money?
Has anyone ever had their seats re upholstered and how much did it cost?

If thats the case I may re-consider either the £300 Cerb seats or £800 Tuscan seats from Bell Hill for my Chim.

I picked up a RV8 4.6 today for £100..........

Tops £500 for recover and restring from AR Pound for a pair

bin replaced by T350 seats. 'bout £200pr would do it. must get around to clearing the garage out and saticking it on Ebay...i've got half a griff spare in there by now!

Do the seats sit higher like the cerb ones? I'm tall and don't fancy sitting any higher.

give me 5 mins and i'll load some up.

they are about the same as i have them on the same runners.
you could get them 1/2 inch lower or so if you use sparco runners etc.

squabs remove for trackday use (so you can get a helmet on, but i use mine in this sate permanently as they are comfortable enough.

I should say they are also good for 6 footers as they stop your head from hitting the rollbar!

absolutely! thats the whole point!!

I have five point harnesses in too. all bolted to extra chassis members.

Yeah I guessed that was the point mate, just checking they do actually work!

Are the Tamora seats the same as the T350 ones? I'm thinking about going for this with a CG-Lock to stop any sliding around.

hmmm,

not sure if the seats are the same. guess so, thinking back to testing experience.
very similar. the calvins (lockies) are better than nothing, tho better still is a four point harness onto the std belt mounts + rollbar is better.
ok up to 300bhp. after that tooo many Gs. sticky tyres make things even worse!

Hi Edtvr I have some brand new bentley continental GT seats [6] in my vw van, they were free.

Maybe it wasn't so "NUTS" ... Mr Ed,.... to pay that price for the (good as new) seats - as I'm sure the (pretty good nick) old ones will fetch a decent price.
What strikes me as NUTS, are the leagues of (up themselves) folks prepared to part with serious amounts of cash for something as useful as a (look at me,... me me me ... ) private number plate! XX

Dont have private no plate myself, would like one, have other priorities however....these things are up to the individual surely? Also, as with many things, personal pride of ownership comes into play. I own a griff, wanted for ages but not as show-off item....just enjoy ownership. Well, most of the time, anyway!!!

(do like the "KINEC" plate, BTW! Personalised plates mean little to me but a plate relevant to the car it is on means much, kinda gives it a personality...oh dear....
