For months now I have been struting around content with the fact that I've got a TVR,
A bit like when you get married and you're happy with the choice of wife, until the fist day of your honeymoon sitting round the pool and some fit bird comes down to sunbathe, you start to think, That would be nice!
Well tonight my mate came round in his Ferrari 355 he just got today.
We have just been for a 2 hr hoon around south Essex,
WOW, I want one, we went through a tunnel at some ridiculous speed I am sure I could hear Murray Walker commentating "Just take a look a that"
So I thought, has any other car seriously turned your eye, or would you all stay faithful
to your TVR, (No ridiculus "Yeh I quite fancy the Veyron quotes Please)

All I can say is smiles per pound the Tiv wins every time...
was out at the weekend on a run and a Cerbera 450 got hounded down by a Lambo at a ridulous speed.... Cerb driver impressed but at the same time I know he was v happy with his speed...... so does 5x plus price tag warrant as much fun.... No IMHO... get a sub £20k car with rocket perfomance = TVR nothing else to touch it in price bracket (every day persons wallet)...

Most definitely. We've had our Chimaera for years. The only Tiv that has since really attracted us to consider replacing it has been the Tuscan MkII Convertible. And, to date, its not tempted. Perhaps when some high quality pre-depreciated examples turn up in dealerships...
So..its odd. Yes we're "faithful" to TVR. But even they aren't making the cars that would tempt us away from the Chimaera! So really we're "faithful" to the Chimaera...
When I really got bitten by the Porsche bug - I just went and got one. There was no discussion whatsoever about whether or not the Tiv was staying...

Yeah you're right, guess my comment about the wife was bit "not PC",
Just trying to make the point that even when you're happy with your lot there's always something else that can turn your head.

Ouch!! I can see that would take a bit of planning for !!
To answer your original post, if my Tuscan was a weekend toy then there is nothing else I would consider. However as a daily drive I do sometimes yearn for a car that you dont have worry about where you park it. For personal reasons my Tuscan is up for sale. If it doesnt sell I wont be too unhappy, but if it does then when I am ready to buy again it will be a TVR.

I had a 355 and thought it was too slow for the money by half and too slow full stop. The only redeeming feature was the noise it made.
I've now got a Sagaris and car wise, I've never been happier. It's much quicker, lighter and better balanced than the ferrari. Just wish I had the time to drive it more.
