HL Gorner team reappears

TVR owners in the North West - fear not. 4 of the excellent team from the now defunct HL Gorner have reappeared at Ciceley Continental - a Mercedes specialist in Preston. They are expanding to take on the mantle as the main TVR service centre for the North West. Telephone number is 01772 201455.

Anyone know which of the team have moved?

Mark was always superb, offering me advice over the phone, on how to fix my Chimera 4.3 when I was in Switzerland.

He even got the price down for me on the last repair at Gorners (to still over £3k). Hope you're reading this Mike - you sold me a right dog!

I hope that wasn't my Chimaera that you are referring to as that was a fantastic car?? Does sound like it could be as mine was a 4.3 Blue one that I traded in for Tuscan just over a year ago & I remember Mike saying it was going abroad??
I had it for 18 months & only thing it needed was stepper motor cleaning!
I would like to know that it went to a good home though

went over late on Saturday to look at the Red Chim 4.0HC they had in - to be fair they where just closing, but allowed us all the time we needed - the chap we spoke to was ex Gorners - forget his name ATM, ment to go back the next day for a proper look, but didnt make it

Not really sure I can see the connection between a new TVR dealership in Preston Lancs and an independant TVR servicing specialist in Cheshire. I may live in France but I have family in Cheshire and visit frequently. Only thing is it looks like someone is having a go at H L Gorners previous staff for whatever (perhaps personal ) reasons

Read the original post on this thread. Then see if you want to reflect upon your reply below. For my part, I have never used Gorners for anything other than a look at their show room display on a couple of occasions.
