After months of f**king around and cock-ups by lawyers I will finally be picking up my Tuscan from TMS at ten o'clock on Saturday! Just in time for the next East Midland TVRCC meeting on Sunday. Moonraker black, red interior - looks mean as hell I'm not gonna be able to sleep between now and then - I'm like a kid a christmas

Dare I ask what the legal wrangle was about?

The legal wrangle was nothing to do with TMS or the car - just the money to pay for it

Basically, both my Mum and Dad died last year and it's taken this long to finally get the wills sorted. What should have been straightforward wasn't - and when two different sets of lawyers were involved, who didn't bother talking to each other, things got a bit, er, dragged out. Unfortunately it wasn't the lawyer's entrails...

d_drinks - no worries. Thx to everyone for the sympathy - to say 2002 was a bit crap would be an understatement, and while a car (even if it is a Tuscan!) can never replace my wonderful parents it will go some way to bringing some fun back into my life

sympathies too, lost my mum, and dad buggered off to spain to get away from it all, then all grandparents died, leaving me effectivley family free. its gut wrenching and hard to cope sometimes, but Im 6 years down the road, and happy to offer titbits of advice offline which helped me carry on, mind you buying a TVR helps!! did that too!! sounds like a nice one, hope you enjoy it. Silly, course you will.

They certainly are - my mum made sure I understood she wanted me to use the money to enjoy my life after she was gone - gawd bless her!
