My turn to sing praises.
My Griff has just undergone a full doors, bonnet and boot lid off, lights out respray at Sportmotive in Stoke on Trent.
I've had experience of a number of specialists and dealers and put simply, Sportmotive surpass them all. I'm a fussy bugger and I can't fault the prep, paint and finished job. Masking was comprehensive and neat; there's no overspray anywhere. Some making good of previous repairs was necessary and the results are stunning. All repairs were gel coated and are now invisible. The finish on the paint is similarly impressive, right down under the sills and evenly over the curves. Simple details like replacing the indicators with the words 'FRONT' horizontal (told you I was fussy), neatly refitting and trimming the windscreen rubbers, cable-tieing loose wires, using new hardware on refitting etc mean that going over the car and admiring it is a real pleasure instead of making the usual list of things I've got to put right. Oh and it's not just bodywork - they do servicing, mechanical works and chassis repairs too, as well as offering Spider wheel upgrades and engine swaps. Speak to Ian - he'll have thought of it first, and thought it through.
