Sadly there was no sign of the TVR T350T targa topped Tamora Coupe at the Autosport Show. Although billed for launch at 9am in conjunction with the 'Max Power Girls', neither the car nor the girls were to be found.
No sign of Jo Guest either and I promised to meet her for coffee at 11am too (which explains her 'no-show')

I was attracted to the Farboud stand at 1.30 by a loud blast of Jamiroquai's Cosmic Girl and was just in time to see four blond bimbos wearing pelmets unveil one of the most stunning cars I've ever seen. And as they're made just up to road to me in Cambridge, I'll try and blag a test drive...

The unveiling??? of the TVR T350T took place at 11:00hrs. It was revealed by two ladies one in very little white number and the other in body paint and knickers!!!!!!!!!

It certainly stopped the show in the area for a short time, but alas the car was the T350C.

Were visitors more interested in the pants and body paint or the car??

Notice that the CDL car while still bearing the No 1 plate as won for the last two years by Steve Guglielmi, is in different livery i.e. the Scared Stiff logos are missing. Guess that this has to do with Steve parting company with CDL for the Tuscan series and competing under the name of Guglielmi Motorsport ??....

Can't wait to see the CDL GTO car - anyone know if this the Tuscan GTO that Shorty was racing last year or are they going down the converted Tuscan Racer/T350C GT car?.....

The T350 looks so right. I'm severely bummed that there has been no progress getting TVR back into the USA. Where's Bill Gates when you need him?

I'm not sure which stand I was on, but they had one of the new T350’s (metallic green) which I must say does looked the mutts nuts. However at a much closer inspection of this particular car I was left a little confused. Can you answer a couple of my questions.
A) Is the rear window designed to blow out at any speed over about 59mph? It was stick-o-fixed in and looked decidedly insecure.
B) Just how do you access the rear luggage area? There was no way it could be accessed from outside the car, no hinges, no shut lines or handles.
C) What is the stick-o-fixed in large metal ball in the rear n/s wing? It looks like a ball bearing of about 2.5” dia. recessed into the fibreglass.

Now this may have been an early prototype. It did leave me decidedly confused though.

err.... no. That car has been through a lot, what with being on TopGear, being taken out by the likes of Christoph (spellin??) the car is still a running test bed. Gaffer or other please correct if wrong.

The rear window is mounted on aluminium hinges at the top. Access is obtained by pressing the rear TVR badge and lifting the glass.

That would be the petrol filler cap. Press a release leaver in the boot this rotates the cover out of the way revealing the opening to the tank, allowing you to fuel up

Hope this helps answer you questions?....
Cheers
Darren

Cheers Darren,

That answers all my questions. The one that REALLY got me was the access to the rear luggage area, a hinged window was my first impression, just not on that car. I also thought the 'petrol filler' cap was release mech for the rear window. Like the door release buttons under the mirror housings.
