Seeing as there's so much TVR bashing going on, I thought I'd start an I love my TVR thread.
Nothing negative please, just confess your love. I'll begin

My names Jimothy and I love my TVR. I've wanted one for most of my life, and bought my Chim 2 and a half years ago. I grin like a loon every time I drive.

I have loved TVR's since I was a kid and bought my Chim nearly four years ago, when I was 22.
Still grin everytime I start it and drive it, especially with the roof off!

Its not the cars that get bashed as much as the maker.

.. and the bashing is because we are all totally infatuated with these petrol/glue smelling, plastic, skittish, insane boys/girls toys and are terrified of losing the marque.

Oh and I love my car more than you love yours cos mines the greatest.

I've said it before, and i'll say it again - ad nauseum - my Chim 500 has performed it's role brilliantly as a fun road car has over 40 hard Track Day's under its belt.
Reliability has been second to none .

Well said! My Cerbera was the same. Fingers crossed the Tuscan has been fine so far!........d'oh....must find some wood to touch, cross everything...I really shouldn't have said that!!

Good lad jimothy - I was thinking of doing something similar myself.

I too love my TVR. I love the noise it makes. I love the way it makes people stare as I drive past popping and crackling as I go. I love the way I still get giddy with adrenaline everytime I sit in the driver's seat about to start her up. I love the fact that she's never let me down. I love the camraderie that comes with being a TVR owner. I love the fact that my TVR 'introduced' me to PH. I love the fact that perfect strangers will come up to me and comment on how nice my car looks. I love my TVR as it eats Boxters for breakfast. I love my TVR as it involves and excites me. I love walking home from the station on a Friday evening knowing that Saturday brings hooning. I love the runs I go on with the Sussex and Surrey PHers, all enjoying the unique brand together. I love the fact that TVRs are still relatively rare. I love watching small boys stand, open-mouthed pointing as I go past, only just managing to mouth "T...V...R!" and tug their old man's sleeve. I love the fact that one doesn't save driving a TVR for a special occasion or a nice day, driving the TVR makes it a special occasion and a nice day.

*takes breath*...I love the fact it's British and it's brutal and commands respect (from me and other road users). I love getting it out and getting the top down on crisp winter mornings, balmy summer evenings and all the other times in between. I love the fact that it's a dream realised. Most of all I love the fact that it's a TVR and it's mine.

Yep, well chuffed with mine.
I cant think of any car that is anything like it and 1 year on i still have a grin on my face every time i press the 'loud pedal'.
Best car purchase decision i ever made.

Yep, i love my Chimaera 400. I've owned it for 2.5 years, it's cost me over £13k to run, but i love it so much. It get a huge amount of enjoyment out of it, but it also provides others with a load of enjoyment too when i drive by.

I have thought about selling it when i realise how much i do spend on it, but there really isn't anything i could replace it with.

I will even admit to telling the car that i love it, and have even been known to kiss it on occassion!!!

To paraphrase Broadside, I love my TVR....... 'cos its not a Porsche, a BMW, a Merc or a Ferrari and.....

Humm... drove over to a mates house on Monday to see his brand new Sagaris. I was very impressed with the Sag and guess what it was perfectly screwed together and didn't smell of glue it smelt of leather. What a fine car that is! I then drove home in my 7 year old Griff 500 with the top down and it simply confirmed everything I already knew. TVR make fine cars! Rich...

I love TVRs too ...when I drive my Elise (300bhp) it makes me feel like a racing driver...but when I drive the other halfs Sagaris it turns me into a hooligan...I dont know whether its the noise, or the view over the bonnet...but I swear it talks to me...and begs me to lift off to hear the pop n crackle..and hang the arse end out at every opportunity

...you cant beat British sportscars for character and sense of occasion....German stuff is well engineered and top performing etc, but I only have a German car as the daily (boring) driver ..couldnt have one as my only fun car

I love my Chim too (and so does my 7 year old daughter) - I've owned one for 3 and a half years, loved TVR's since I was little and still grin wildly when I hear the sound of that engine.. I don't care what it costs I will not be parted from it - off to Le Mans Classic and then BNG
