Average Mileage???

Just been looking at the clasifieds and I see a lot of relative low mileage cars around. How many miles per week do people drive their Tivs? I used to drive my S3 as and everyday car and covered eaisly 12-13000 per year. Now I use the Griff once or twice a week but have covered 7000 in a year? Is this a lot? Or is it about average?

Sadly I think the likes of us are exceptions - I've averaged 12kpa in each of my Tivs, even though the Cerbera did it's best to bankrupt me in the process! The oft quoted average seems to be not much more than 3-4kpa...

Less than 4,000 miles per year for the last two years.

I walk to work, so this gives me a lot more scope for weekend hooning

All the miles I drive are for fun.........

Average mileage is in the region of 5000 per anum on most TVRs. As my chim is a weekend car it covers about 5-6000 mile a year. I just carnt bring my self to leave it in the staff carpark!

My Chim 400 had done 43,000 miles. Born 1996.. so about 4000 per year! Not much really. I've had it for a couple of months and already done over 1000miles so looking at about 6000 a year?? I'd say thats low mileage as I do 16000 miles in my skoda

I do about 6k miles a year in the Tuscan, including commutes if I'm not working in the city centre.

Most TVRs do 4000-5000 per year. (Unless they're all clocked when in the classifieds )

I spent a number of years doing 30,000+ per annum. T'was fun but expensive

When i first got my chim back in 02, i could not get enough of it, i done 16k in 2 years, mostly weekend driving, i could not understand how people could only do a few k a year!! i do miss driving it alot but i still get a wicked buzz from it, i hope it doesnt effect the reliability to much, hopefully i can drive it abit more this year, my daughter is 14 weeks old and loves being in it, its a good excuse to go out in it!!

Last year of Griff ownership (1st year of fatherhood...I see a pattern forming) I did 500 miles in him.

Bought the cerb and put him on a limited mileage 3000 mile policy. Have had to up the policy mileage twice now . Now averaging 8.5k/annum

I walk to work too (well when not on the south coast). I am doing 6-8k for the Chim and 6-8k on the Tusc every year - so say about 14k a year of Tivving.

About 12k in 12 months for me, it's also only a weekend car and was off the road for almost 3 of those months in the bodyshop last year having the rear wing repaired after my neighbour reversed into it.
Just can't understand how people can do such little mileage, I only have to look at my car and want to go for a drive!

9000 in 13 months. Use it virtually every day.

Bought mine in March 2002 with 52,500 on the clock.

Now got somewhere between 58,500 & 59,000.

I bought my Chim when it was just over 44,000 miles and have just taken it over the 48,000 mile mark whilst out at the weekend, so that's around 4,000 in 7 months i have to say i thought i'd done more miles so i'm obviously not driving it enough.
