Where can I test & tune my TVR in / near Leeds?
Discussion
Hi all,
I recently read an article in a TVR mag which said my 420bhp Cerbera 4.5 is more likely (in reality) to be about 350ish bhp. I'd like to be able to test this and if necessary tune it so I get what I paid for!
I live in Leeds, but can travel. Any suggestions, details and costs would be much appreciated. Cheers!
Joel.

Try Joolz (www.joospeed.net), he's in Chesterfield and is the undisputed king of AJP fettling!!

Yep, Joolz without question. He's also written a reply to that piece in Sprint, so with any luck that'll appear next month.
Edited to say that my I just booked my car in with him, and got a slot mid February, so the wait isn't that long

can do a power run for you no probs, but that'll just confirn your worst fears that your car is down on specced power. look out for a readers letter from me in feb sprint addressing this issue.
you can't really fettle the cerbie much without remapping the mbe ecu, mbe won't supply the config code for you to do that, done a deal with tvr over that one .. but hopefuly there's a way around that, should know later this month or early next.
also working on a little project that will hopefully recoup some of the power back. car on the rollers end of this month for trials.
will keep updating this story through sprint magazine and my website.
HHC Harrogate won't help you at all. one reason i left was that they wouldn't get involved with tweaking cars. on the other hand HHC hexham seem very keen on aftermarket kit .. the difference between an enthusiastic dealer and one that is just interested in standard after-sales.

gazzab said: Cant you just piggy back the ECU.
distinctly possible, but most of the cheaper units just allow you to add ignition advance over the base map, and the cerbera has a firing interval of 75/105 degrees. you can go to another ecu, DTA do one with this firing order but it's over 800 pounds. You can get emerald to do one for you based on their current ecu (chatted to dave walker about this possibility some months ago) .. but why do it if it's possible to crack the MBE .. which is what we're trying to do.
