Tamora! Sounds awesome... should I get one?

Need some more convincing, so would Tamora owners come out to play please?
I have a 944 Turbo which is plenty quick, but it lacks the soundtrack of so many supercars...!
This looks beautiful www.pistonheads.com/sales/76431.htm I really want it. But its about 3-4K (at least) above what I want to spend on a second car...
Questions:
(1) Runnings costs
(2) Fun factor
(3) Reliability
(4) MPG? (Yes, I know its sad to ask...!)
(5) Easy to maintain? Are there dealers near Wapping in East London?

Not sad at all, I've been wondering what damage some of these sports cars are doing to the environment.

I think he means you should buy a Tuscan instead. I also suspect that he does not believe any sort of explanation is necessary. In many people's books, this would be considered a fair call.

A Tamora arguably drives and handles better than a standard Tuscan, but a Tuscan looks so drop dead gourgeous, and can bite you very badly if provoked - this is less of a prob for the Tam, as the handling is just so much fun.
MPG isn't the best, late teens, early to mid twenties is about the norm.
If driven every day, the yearly bill (excuding tax/insurance.MOT) will be no less than £1K
The engine 'may' only last up to around 30K miles before it needs a top end rebuild, be under no illusions about this, plus the clutch seems to need replacing at around the 20-25K mark on 'some' Tams.
You need to take these potential costs into account before buying, however, the way it drives and the way it makes you feel (as with ALL TVRs), may far outweigh the potential negatives.
I have had over two years of virtually trouble free TVRing, and its been fab, I know that my car will need a top end rebuild at the next service next year (worn valve guides, quite normal, I am told), and a new clutch is now imminent, I have budgeted for this, so I don't mind, I knew what to expect - but I still would not swap my Tam for anything else, it is that good!

Edited to add, if you take out warranty cover, the engine and clutch should be covered anyway, and the costs of the rebuilds are more realistically priced (£3-5K)at a few places than some would lead you to believe

I don't really care to be honest. I say what I think, if you don't like it, I don't care. My belief is that sports cars are ok in moderation(eg fun cars for tracks days and what have you), but for everyday use we should be looking for the most economical, environmentally friendly cars. I also think that sports car manufacturers should be helping to lead the way with extracting performance from more environmentally friendly cars. I also think anyone who doesn't care about the environment should be ashamed of themselves.

Damn - I'm starting to become concerned that we Tamora owners are becomming less rare than we once were.
It won't be long before there's as many of us as those plebby Chim owners.
Anyway, the blue one is a fantastic colour but why the small front plate - makes me think he may have had overheating problems. Small plates are not necessary.
Go on some test drives and check out your local TVRCC meeting. When you buy (and you will) take a Tamora owner with you to check out all those little things like door and window fit, trim damage from the seat backs etc.
