Ok, After some advice, I was out on Saturday Night and parked the TVR in a legitimate parking bay on the side of the road outside a bar. I checked the signs and it was a pay & display up to 5.30, this was about 9pm. Come out of the bar at about 10 to go elsewhere and there is a ticket on my window????????????? What the f**k!!, I check again and yes I could park there, what do I do about it????
cheers
Richard

P.S. I hate Monday mornings!!! - especially when it rains!!!
+ my two front tyres on the tankasaurus blew at the weekend so am using my baby in the rain

Take a picture of the parking bay / sign, and ring and complain! With some luck they will cancel it. Without luck you may have to head to the magistrates court to resolve the issue...

If they agree to cancel it, make sure you get this in writing!!

I recieved a ticket which the parking company agreed to cancel on the phone. Got a court summons a few months later and had to convince a magistrate of it - I was lucky they believed me as I had no corroborating evidence.

Most parking wardens are targeted on the number of tickets they issue, so there is money on the line for them.
Sounds like someone was near the end of the shift and hadnt met their target yet :shootingstoogoodforthem:

Cheers, Don't know if it will help but at the end of the road is a CCTV camera which I would have thought would have seen my car!!!

I have had 4 incorrect parking tickets in the last 18 months, 3 in the same place (residents bay when I had a permit!).

Just write to the council and tell them to cancel the ticket with reasons, always worked for me. If not wait for the notice to owner and it has a formal appeals process on it.

My favorite ticket? was the one where the warden had completed the Type of Vehicle as "Red"!!!! (Perhaps they were too stupid to spell TVR)
