another tyre question...

not quite the standard what brand should I buy question.
I've had a MOT and three of my tyres are recomended for replacement soon. well as I'm driving through most of france next month I thought I'd get them all done now.
looking at websites like black circles and etyres. I'm stuck with the option of either
Dunlop SP9000 all round
or having different types/makes of tyres front and rear
eg.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2 front and Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 rear
or
Dunlop SP9000 front and Toyo r888 rear
etc.
I've never mixed and matched before on old cars and don't really know the effect. I assume that it means one end will be inclined to let go before the other end and make me more prone to spinning.
am i right?
is mixing a bad thing?
should I keep to the same brand tyre?
should I keep to the same spec tyre?
all help appreciated before I spend too much money

You don't say what size they are & not being a Chim owner I don't know.
Why can't you get GSD3's all round? They're replacing the d2 iirc.
What about Toyo T1-R, these are replacing the T1-S.

Cheers Hadn't seen mytyres.co.uk - another place to check and they seem to have a lot of variety
the tyre sizes are
205/55/15 front
225/50/16 rear
the split between what I can and cannot get seems to be that not a lot is available to fit my front wheels
I suspect it'd be easier if i had 16's all round
