last night I heard a bunch of drunken yobs pissing about near the car.
next think the alarm goes off
lots of swearing
and they vanish...
this morning I can see the bastards have pushed in the rear windscreen and it's been raining all night
I am seriously pissed off at the moment.
I'll be ringing dealers, insurance etc. later
in the mean time anyone know a place to get it replaced near norwich?

Congratulations for not going on a killing rampage (unless of coarse you have been out already and are now trying to wind down by way of a bit of PH therapy).I know it is easy to say but try not to let this situation consume you or it will cause you to lose alot of sleep for the foreseeable future as every little noise will get you up and looking out of your bedroom window.Similar thing happened to me some years ago, so I know!Good luck with getting sorted it out.

Its bad enough when something accidental leaves your P&J with damage let alone some jelous, worthless, cheap cider drinking, burb loving, backwards baseball cap wearing, retarded, inbred, drug crazed B@STARD decides hes mad at the world because someone had the savvy to earn money to be something other than a rotten old Orion!
Sad state of affairs, but thats the world we live in. I held off getting a flash car for years because i didnt have a garage to keep it in and i knew the scrotes would have a crack at it if i didnt.
If im going out somwhere i always do a risk assessment --which unfortunatly means i only tend to either drive it round and come back in it-- or leave it for short periods of time in my works carpark or outside my friends house.
Ive already had some kids try and break into my Garage for it-- shame.... my house is like fort knocks

gaffa tape applied,
cover on (I ususally don't have it on when the cars wet to let it dry out - not a mistake I'll be making again)
spoken to a couple of people about getting it fixed

Looking at your profile, I assume you mean the Chimaera?
How can you leave a car like that parked outside? I would be putting it in the garage every night (or if I lived in a flat or something with no garage, I would wait before buying a car like that..)
Not suggesting it's your fault, but does seem like an awful risk.

Some of us don't have the luxury of a garage... would you have us denied the pleasure of driving a TVR because our house was built before your country was colonised?

Sorry, meant no offence, and certainly wouldn't 'deny' anyone that pleasure. I guess I just couldn't accept that risk so would wait until I had a house with a garage.
BTW, we are 'denied' the pleasure of TVR here, last time I checked there was only 1 for sale in the whole country
eta: seems like houses and garages are more affordable here (although that is rapidly changing), whereas decent cars are much less affordable than in UK. So you have the nice car, and I have the nice garage.

Come to that - what's your interest in this forum - not that I'm saying you shouldn't be on this forum - it's just, well, I wouldn't bother joining the porker forum cos I don't have (or ever intend having) a porker.

If you are looking for local info, have you tried Scole Engineering in Diss? Tel: 01379 740940. Non-frnachised garage, do a lot of TVR work. I find them helpful even if they cant do it themselves.
By the way, I am out of the UK at present and the mobile doen't work in Japan...so can you ask him if the wleding is finished on mine yet...

Back I have been around cars and motorsport for 25 years but I can't remember ever seeing a TVR here! (Apparently there are a couple in Perth somewhere)
Not sure how I came to the TVR forum; sometimes I randomly follow links through someone's profile. I would be interested in a TVR if they weren't so rare and expensive here.
BTW it isn't as clear as I had hoped, but I used the 'Fantasy' column not in it's intended way but to list cars that I have 'used' without owning myself (eg my several of Brother's cars)
To the OP, hope there's not too much damage, and you have more luck in future.
