Hello all,

We occassionally get some bright blue sunny days in the winter and most of you TVR owners I know are staunch 'lid-off' nutters - even with wind-chill on your ears to about -30C.

This is easily remedied by the wearing of a hat. But what sort? Do any of you wear hats that you consider to be ridiculous? I know I do - the more ridiculous the better! I may not have a convertable TVR but I always take the roof off when out in the MGTD.

So, lets hear of your ridiculous hats - or am I the only wierdo with a daft hat?

My digital camera recently packed up (so i gave it to someone for xmas haha) but I do have a picture of my hat - here you are - I wear the one that the chap on the left is wearing. Bought for 10 Soles in Peru.

It keeps me amused and warm

I don't think anyone is gonna beat that one Noodles! I wear one of those Russian jobs with the flappy bits dangling down, or of course the trusty bobble hat.

Good effort that man!

The geezers in your photo look like they're just back from a thrash in your cerb and have laid out their multicoloured underwear to dry in the sun...

I've got a "fleece" baseball hat with earflaps I got from Land's End. Marvelkous hat, but I look like a complete dork. But then, I have warm ears, so who cares?

When you have ears as big as mine these things are important!

I have several ridiculous efforts. One has Rhino horns on the forehead, sort of woolly hat in black with 2 red horns.

My most bizarre is from Madeira. It is some traditional hat worn by natives. Basically multo coloured material that sits tightly around your head and then has a bloody great bit stick thing that sits up about a foot in the middle of the hat, coloured in material. always get some odd looks in that., come to think of it, i always get some odd looks without wearing that too.....

Paul (purple chim V8 NUT) has a matching purple jester hat, just like this:

Me? - I don't go out in the cold that much.

I have your standard Russian Tank Commander's hat. Picked it up cheap in Blackbushe Market a couple of years ago.

Perhaps not the most stylish hat ever devised, but very effective at keeping your head warm.
