Coolant leak from pointless pipe
Discussion
I've recently spotted a puddle of coolant sitting on top of the water pump in my Griff. I was slightly concerned that it could have been the water pump but I've now found more coolant on top of the inlet manifold near the fuel injector for cylinder 1 (near side front-most cylider).
It has obviously been leaking from the pipe which eminates from beneath the unused temperature sender on the inlet manifold. The jubilee clip was very loose and hence I have tightened it up.
The wierd thing is, this pipe doesn't appear to go anywhere. It disappears under the throttle body part of the plenum and is then terminated by a plug and another jubilee clip.
Why is there a coolant pipe which doesn't go anywhere? Does anyone else have this pipe? If I connect it to something, can I get another 50bhp?
