Was wondering that too, initially thought it was so they could roll the car around the place but the wheels on the other side are a bit knackered. The brown stain on the seat seems to have cleaned up well though!

Because the passenger cell is intact whilst the rest of the car is F**ked. Shows that the right parts of the car absorbed the impact whilst protecting the occupants. Obviously though if it was a shunt at ten miles an hour I will revise my opinion!
Unusual to see alloys break like that though.
i also was a bit surprised to see how the spiders seemed to have fallen apart! looks like someone has already swaped the clean silver one for a scratched anthracite, i asked how much for the anthracite wheel and he said £175 + vat, decided against it as it looks scuffed and would be much more for a new one
Yer, I’ve heard spiders can be got really cheaply, well cheap for TVR!, even new from a dealer. I’m not too worried that one or two broken as this would have absorbed energy, unless, it’s breaking caused the accident… 
At least there are no brown or more seriously red stains on the seats, so I guess everyone was OK.

Hi mate you had me concerned for a few seconds thought that the thread related to your mint imperial blue chim! So good to see that it wasn't your car, but not good all the same.
I see on the TVRCC WWM Forum that you want to know which of our lot are off to Le Mans, I understand that Tony W, Tony M, Phil (wixer), Dave (sportie) are there and will be @ Houx.
I would have replied via the TVR forum but can't get in!

to post on Pistonheads if that was the case. Sorry I missed the last WWM meet, due to Le Mans I will miss the next one as well unfortunately. I will hook up with the rest of the guys in Houx and hold our own WWM overseas meet so we will be with you in spirit.
You lot will have to try harder next year, there really is nothing to beat blasting away from the ferry in a convoy of Ferraris, Porkers, Tivs, Lotuses etc...especially in your first TVR. Looking forward to it just a little!

Yep been there done that, last year it was fantastic, agreed excellant atmosphere, as a group we had a few issues though....Tuscan pipe bracket failure, Sagaris bonet flying off, another Sagaris with a flat tyre as a result, a Tamora with a fuel line leak, a cerbie with only 3 wheelnuts (Don't ask!!!
)....and my passport plus other stuff going walkies, still the trip home on Saturday (yep before the race!)to organise a passport for a family holiday on the Tuesday of the next week was brilliant sun all the way and roof off.
That said I consider that I have unfinished business there, so intend to go next year, with the expense of the body off chassis refurb/engine rebuild BV conversions/diff replacement etc it did not appear to be the right thing to do politically, if you see what I mean.
Have a good one, I will be at Supercar Sunday that weekend, what about Back Home are you up for that cos the WWM crew are having a convoy to it on the Saturday a.m.?
