Any other TVR owners into gardening?

Went to collect my Tuscan from the garage last night after a slave cylinder failure...

Car wasn't ready so I drove home in my every day oil burner absolutely gutted that I couldn't go out to play, as it was a beautiful evening.

Got home, and whilst kicking my heels pondering what to do I found myself gardening!!!

Is this normal behaviour or should I see a doc?

Has anyone else suffered any similar experiences?

Yep - I too have been afllicted with this curse. Usually when it's raining though.........

I hate it and I've got 2 bleedin acres of it. So if you're at a loose end...............

Fortunately Mrs U enjoys it. (I cut the lawns ).

Unrepentant and Mrs U must be self sufficient what with all the fruit and veg from that small holding and all those tasty doves.

Nice Tuscan too. Mind you a man with such a 'small holding and a pair of acres' has to have some compensation.

See I actually missed your brand of wacky humour while you were banned from here Jigs. Glad to see they've let you back in.

People can say what they like about you but you surely represent a positive example of the benefits of care in the community. Just make sure you dont skip the medication.

No no no no, you cant pull that one! We've got an acre or so in France and its sit-on mower time and there is no way in hell yer telling me you dont enjoy an hour or two punting the mower around! Dont lie here, admit it, yer rumbled.

Just down the road from us is a Manoir estate and as a younger lad I helped build the 18 hole golf course. I got to drive tractors and stuff and it was cool. The most fun though had to be the front mounted gang plank Bobcat (no, nothing to do with Bowler!) mower! Woooohooo could it bloody shift, rear wheel steering and well damn good fun frankly!

I soo want to go and start lawnmower racing

Believe it or not, Keith from 'The Prodigy' was a keen gardener. As well as owning a yellow Cerbera, he was reported as enjoying nothing more than going for a mad as hell joyride in his TVR before going home to prune some roses and trim the borders.

My Trusty Cerb came second place to the garden this weekend. Not that it would have been my number one choice and nor am i a keen garderner, but the garden was in a sorry state indeed, so the Cerb just had to be content to sit on the driveway gleaming in the sun while the garden got as makeover (did manage to take her out for a quick blast though - it would have been rude not to)

I admit that I do have a ride on mower. But as I tell Mrs U, it's still very hard work.

Cerbs still in the garage and to be honest the 32 acres we have to play have been left to the sheep to keep the lawns short. Not in the mood to plant a flower when its so nice and we do not have the car to play with.

Lexie likes her plants, unfortunately I seem to have a phobia of her carnivorous plant collection...

...cos they will eat me in my sleep, I've seen Day of the Triffids!!!
