Oil pump gasket

Last winter I changed the front crank seal , front cover gasket and oil pump gasket.
Now there is an oil leak from the oil pump area, I tried to tighten the pins which werent mega tight.

Is there a better gasket than the paper one.



Also just had a pipe to my ear and listened around the manifolds, seems there is some popping around the offside one.

Considering the car is 14 years old , would these want changing through age?

Again what are the best ones to fit?
