what exactly did dave do on the cerbera line then????
You know full well what my hubby did on the Combe line and how long he worked in the service department and rectification.
Hows everything going with you guys been a long time - if you fancy a catch up and a pint send us an email and we'll arange something. Are you going to back home? Hows all Colins manta's coming along?
mmm didn't I just type 'Combe line' when it all went a bit silly and all the lines were building all models. The important bit is he worked in the service department and is a Master Technician. Come on guys competition is healthy - keeps us all focused and trying harder.

Thank you for the suggestion retribution – personally I think Dave (Gizmo’s) reputation and history speaks for itself. I’m sure many a TVR owner will find the name Dave Bradley at the bottom of their service schedule sheets, or indeed my name in their handbooks, if they have been to the factory for a service. For those of you who don’t know Dave and for those of you who have given me grief for ‘underselling’ him (which I would never do – would I honey?) I hope the following is a satisfactory response.
In 1984, Dave left school and started his apprenticeship at the local Vauxhall and Lotus dealership. As mick g star rightly said he achieved Master Technician status as well as gaining a diploma from the Vauxhall College. He was also part of the service crew for the dealerships rally team.
It was during this time that he upgraded from his prize winning, concours condition, RS Mexico to his infamous 3 door Sierra Cosworth (see profile). Dave worked endlessly on the beast and he was a member of the RS Owners Club for over 15 years. He constantly attended the car shows and track days until we unfortunately had to sell the car in 2003 : (

Dave joined TVR in 1996 where he worked in the rectification department under the late and great Dave Cumming. When the factory closed this department, Dave was moved to the Combe production line until he joined the service department in 2000. He worked happily alongside Paul, Heath, (me) and the boys until his departure in 2005.
Since then he worked for the Skoda/Subaru/Suzuki dealership in Preston and during this time he was nominated for the ‘Top Technician 2006’ award, which runs in association with ATTA.
He joined Green Star at the beginning of this year. The guys there carry out repairs and MOT’s on anything from Morris Travellers to TVR’s.
Anyway, I think I have said all I need to say. Obviously I am very proud and biased towards my husband but wouldn’t any wife be? We will both be somewhere around ’10 TVR’ on the Blackpool stand at the forthcoming ‘Back Home’ event so please come, say hello and have a natter.
As for Automedon, we both honestly wish them every success in their venture, as we would all our old work colleagues, friends and contacts. I apologise if this has not come across in my previous posts.
I’m off now to read the less demanding threads like how to make good toast!

He even had the pleasure of working with me on nights and i can safely say he worked on cerbs (cos i wouldnt touch them)
Despite that, if he joined at the start of the year, why advertise the fact on here now, like it's current news?
That (and the other recent threads) just look like an attempt at free advertising if you ask me....

fair comment - I have made this point myself to those involved. But in my own defence and nothing to do with the garage, a few people we're trying to have a pop at my man and his experience for their own reasons. I personally felt it necessary to reply.

no free advertising on my behalf was just stating a fact
Yes, sorry, it wasn't aimed at you.
There have been a number of posts of late, in the style of a 'press announcement' which IMHO attempt to promote a garage (and one that hasn't paid for advertising space as far as I know).
The original post here is one such post - advertising someone joined their staff 6 months ago. Why bother? All it serves to achieve is give their establishment free advertising.
The person's experience sounds excellent, and your post helped validate that. With that I have absolutely no issue. The issue I have is that it shouldn't have been up for discussion (unless it was posted when he joined the staff, and from a fee paying advertiser).

Danger is, this sometimes backfires. One small lapse in quality of service and the thread turns into bad publicity.
