"track & Race car" magazine.

a spin off article from the "monster" at snett last year. the "trc" photographer (neill watson - nice one mate) did a feature on the day and liked the look of some of the cars there. he picked out the more "noticeable cars" from the day trying to span the TVR range on the track. he went for...

nice things said about all cars and owners and TVRs in general and lots of nice pics! we were originally going to monster their lap board. like top gear, they have a layout at Brunters, where they compare all the road/track/race cars, and they don't have ANY TVRs on it. We were going to change that but the weather put paid to that.
i reckon we'd have come out...

4, jeff (his cars too valuable to give it 100%!)
'Twas a laugh anyway, if bloody freezing!

Not on about my Chimp. Steves car has to wait an age through the corners to get the power down - all over him like a rash on the bend in TR but gone on the straights. Only about 0.8 sec slower round brands (would be alot more at Snett but no where near 7 secs!) it comes out of any corner like a bullet! 'bout 7 secs fastet than any other car at the "monster"!

Same damper as my Chim though! But 4 on the back instead of 2. You should see the vid - oops that reminds me have to send a CD of races to Steve.............!
Andy site looks really good now - hope to do another Monster day in 07 though for me

most impressive Jon, we'll HAVE to get your CARS out on a monster one day...half expecting to see you at Brands!
REAL difficult to call between Steve and Jeffs cars. I'd have to go with Jeff by a wiska! Out and out racer...heavilly modified (by the factory) great colour and most of all...unique!
but steve's is fantastic too. 1 & 2 in my book, but the BOSS is V. Cool and i'd have to keep mine too!

I was almost tempted to buy a 63 Griff 200 this week - but sensibly I resisted.
I have a plan to beat Steve - but will take 18 months I recon - thinking of building a Blown TR4 all steel race engine (all period so allowed in few series) - keep the other engine of course! Will have to come in a few place behind Steve next year when in the New TR6.
John Reid even said I could race the TR's in the TVR series! Maybe next year, but I will be definately doing more track days as racing can be killer when things fail and you want it so bad!
Few more tweeks planned for mine before next season.
Tried to find the Magazine - not found it so far.
