Automedon will take care of you this weekend

TVR specialist Automedon Sports Cars, which opened last March, has promised to take care of you if you're on the TVR Back Home run to Blackpool this weekend.

Under the banner 'Automedon takes care of you while you are Back Home 2006', the company is offering free cover for mechanical or electrical breakdown during this weekend. If you break down, Automedon will recover you free while you are in the Blackpool district. It's also promised "to do its utmost to get you back on the road again (all you pay for is parts, if any, and a nominal labour cost)".

To receive this cover, you need to register at Automedon's Poulton workshop as you arrive in the area. And following the success and support at its open day last April, the company's decided to get 'Dolly's Wagon Butty Stop' to supply free hot and cold sandwiches and cups of Automedon tea and coffee plus its won Automedon rock sweets, all free to people who register.

Colin at Automedon said: "Join us, register, get your 24 hour Automergency Card, have a butty and a brew, use our facilities, chat and have full piece of mind while you enjoy the 'Back Home 2006 Event' knowing that someone is ready to take care of you while you are here. Have a safe journey and we look forward to seeing you all."

About Automedon

Blackpool-based Automedon was formed by a consortium of ex-TVR factory technicians and craftsmen who know the marque and the cars inside and out. Company boss Mark Atherton said, though, that the team's expertise isn't limited to Blackpool specials: "We'll tackle anything from an MG upwards." Their experience is the service centre's main selling point.

To reserve your Automergency card email dave@automedon.co.uk or colin@automedon.co.uk.

Called in today to see the lads, very impressive set-up.

In passing, I asked Colin to have a look at the drivers door on Wol, as it had been catching the paint.

"That's not right" says Colin, disappears, to re-appear with spanners and Allen keys, and proceeds to correctly hang the door, which hadn't been right since leaving the factory!

All done there and then, what absolutely fabulous service. You lads and lasses in the north-west should count yourselves very lucky that you have such a capable and willing independant specialist in your midst.

If only they weren't so far away!

As the sweeties provided say "Automeden Rocks!"

They certainly do!

All the very best, Colin and Dave, I shall certainly call in again, and you won't escape some beer next time, I can assure you!

One very impressed Griffith owner.

All I can say is

My starter motor gave up yesterday after making it back from the factory tour, so I gave the guys a call on the off chance (as I assumed they'd be having a day off and watching the parade), but no, they checked their stock and were with me inside fifteen minutes - another fourty or so minutes and the car was back together and starting like a good 'un.

I can't express my thanks enough, these guys saved me from the agro of a flatbed trip back to London and the frustration of getting the car sorted out this week before Brands Hatch next Monday, and all at a fantastic price.

Dave and Colin and everyone else, you guys are stars, good luck and I hope all goes well for you.

It was you Tripps was it?

Colin had just finished my door when your call came in. Talk about clear the decks! I thought they were a lifeboat crew on a shout the way all the stuff went into their car.

All I can say is these lads deserve all the support they can get, they're absolutely first class.

Sunday, sometime around 1pm(ish) I guess, I'd given up hope that letting it cool down would get it working again, and after four attempts to bump start (thanks Peitro and the Griff owner for your help) failed, realised it was time to for a brand new starter.

The speed they pounced on the car was something to behold, I did what I do best and got the lads some coffee

I had the pleasure of meeting the guys on Sunday too and I have to agree with all the other comments so far. It is blatantly obvious the guys know their stuff and they trully love the TVR brand.

After helping me with a few ongoing niggles with the car they then quite happily chatted to me about TVRs in general until it was time to leave for the cruise.

An excellent first impression and I wish them nothing but success.

I for one will be using them for my next service..

I rather think, young chap , that the thanks are entirely the other way round.

There are some very grateful people on here, and we all wish you the very best for the future. If ever a company deserves the support of the PH massive, it's yours.

Automedon Rocks!

(and the sweets aren't bad, either!)
