. Can't wait for part 2: the factory tour and convoy tomorrow.
Just got back home after what I would describe as a perfect day as well as being my first meet as a TVRCC member.I have never seen so many TVRs in one place. All in all there were about 20 Cerbs out of a total of about 300ish cars. Superb weather, great cars and loads of people showing a genuine interest in Blackpools finest. Steady drive up to Blackpool, a convoy of 7 of us from Hilton Park services onwards,the Guys from Warwickshire & West Midlands TVRCC are great. Just wish I was there tomorrow aswell, damn! Anyway here's a few pictures for those who couldn't make it.

Hope so Kevin,but i never get to hear it,always driving the beast,did it sound ok,i was thinking its a little quiet,i notice you also go to Penistone for pics with the wind turbines

and yes, the speed12, I'd like to know what % effort the driver was putting in but it sounded amazing.

The first few runs I was only using about 1/3rd throttle. The track was very bumpy and so every time we went over a slight transverse ridge the engine spun-up too fast and hit the rev-limiter. However, in the second set of runs I increased it to probably ~50% and found that the faster we went the more it settled down. Also, I was using 6 year old wets as (i) they are on the "show" wheels and (ii) I had to drive it on the road so soft slicks may not have pleased the local constabularly too much; although, I did receive a wonderful double-take from a WPC in a police car passing in the opposite direction!!

That is probably true for the first set of runs where I caught 5th occasionally, however, as just mentioned above we tried a bit harder during the second set and I saw ~5500 rpm on the stack dash in 6th which, with the gearing used for the event, would equate to ~180mph. I am afraid that I forgot to comply with the rules to the letter - which was to stop at each set of cones and the accelerate away again - sorry!!!
Hope that everyone enjoyed it and that it sounded nice on the outside.

didnt get many pictures, but being stood at trackside one, and seeing the sp12 flying past oo 2ft away - was a sight!!
Also great watching the burnouts while being that close - when i walked back to the start line i think between all the drivers they managed to leave a continuous line of rubber on the concrete!
Great turnout of Tivs - plus thanks to Graham W who organised it for us marshals and the St. John's guys a tour of hte factory today to say thanks.

The car looked and sounded fantastic. Thank you for spending your time to talk to me on Saturday night and explaining about the amount of time, effort, and expense it cost you just to run the speed 12 at the event. Thank you for putting on the best display of the day.
